Text Message Game in Thriftwood

A great evening was had by all last night as the Scouts ran around Thriftwood decoding and sending a series of Text-Messages which translated into co-ordinates for their next location.
Eventually, but with one clear winning patrol, the groups visited seven locations collecting a set of mystery words from each. On returning to the base location, the final winning mystery word was worked out and the Woodpeckers Patrol declared winners.
Well done to everyone – we hope you enjoyed it.
Any suggestions for a name for this game would be welcomed. We’ve got no idea what to call it so that we can use it again in the future?

District darts championship

No balls, just darts…
For the sake of Leader Al, the scouts and Skips ran an evening based around “British Pub Culture” playing games such as pool, jenga, table football and most importantly Darts.
Al was very keen to take up the sport of darts and fancied his chances in the World championships, soon to be played in the UK.
Al has been in some serious physical training to get his body into the prime condition to play darts at World level. On Bahalf of all Scouts and Skips at 3rd Brentwood we wish him good luck in the championship.

OO skip

Celebrating the launch of the new James Bond film, Casino Royale.

A brilliant night was had by all when the 3rd Brentwood scout hut was transformed into MI6 headquarters. All Scout leaders dressed in character as Bond or bond villains. The scouts completed a series of games, competition and stunts to earn points which resulted in one clear winner – Scott Coates.

More phoos from the evening to be posted soon…
